Sleeping Beauty: The Game » Devlog
I recently watched a video about order and pattern and how they tie into game design and development. Taking this into account, I decided to add more harmony to the overall level. I made more use of symmetries and patterns, cleaning up the level and making it look less messy. I also incorporated a lot of inner calm that way. In addition, I made the upper level more clean and pretty while the basement is dark and full of skeletons; this creates effective contrast. And, of course, I tried my best to incorporate strong centers; the doors, the spinning wheel, the bed.
